Our Story.

Friends since early childhood, Greg Hayden and Tom Curran have collaborated on dozens of projects (mostly to entertain themselves!) over the past 30 years. Fueled by their creativity, they have spent countless hours working on video projects, web sites, and music production.

Greg has produced short films, commercials, and videos with still pictures and video set to music for birthdays, anniversaries, sports banquets, and graduations. Tom has been created web sites for weddings, bands, and small businesses. This was something they both loved to do.

As an adult, Greg began to realize that there were many people in his life with incredibly interesting stories, and saw an opportunity to use his hobby as a way to capture these stories in these people's own words for future generations to enjoy. However, there always seemed to be a reason why not to pursue his dream, and it remained an idea in the back of Greg's head.

But, Philip Dodds, Greg's step-father - a huge inspiration in his life, and a man who had an incredible life story - passed away in 2007, and Greg was determined to help people tell their stories. He started Five Note Media, named in honor of Philip, who was known by many as the guy in Close Encounters of the Third Kind who played the five notes on the keyboard that landed the mother-ship.
